Being vulnerable is not limited to a particular social class

Financial hardship, abuse, addiction and physical and mental health illnesses

Oasis aims to safeguard children and ensure they’re in a loving, family environment

Welcome

Oasis provides vital support to vulnerable families and children in Elmbridge and the surrounding areas.

Vulnerable means:

  • In crisis

  • Struggling to cope

  • At risk

  • No voice

  • No power to change your home environment

Being vulnerable is not limited to a particular social class.  Financial hardship, abuse, addiction, physical and mental health illnesses can affect anyone, at any time.

  • Those most affected are the children.

  • The ones without a voice.

  • The ones with no power to change their environment.

Oasis aims to safeguard children and ensure they’re in a loving, family environment.

Who we help

At Oasis we have a variety of groups and courses that provide a safe environment for children and their families.
Through this provision we support:

  • Families who are in crisis in any way

  • Children and adults who are victims of domestic abuse

  • Families where there are safeguarding issues

  • Children with anxiety and additional needs

  • Families with poor parenting skills

  • Young parents

  • Families who require early intervention to prevent them from going into crisis

Oasis client’s stories

Events & News

It made me feel less alone and it
wasn’t my fault”

”It was very helpful to have others talk to who are going through similar experiences. By doing group tasks and listening to others helped me gain a lot of knowledge and understanding about domestic violence.

Our Services

At Oasis we aim to fully understand all the issues impacting the families who come to us and support them for as long as they need our help, rather than offering assistance for a finite period of time which often yields little, if no improvement at all.

  • Outreach can range from a simple chat about parenting skills to being involved in a family’s child protection case - attending meetings, providing plans for families to follow, writing reports and in some cases attending court.
